This policy covers the Android application com.o2osell.qrstudio, provided by O2osell Tech.

Your codes and images

Camera frames, imported photos and QR/barcode generation are processed on your device. The app does not upload your images, decoded code contents, Wi-Fi passwords or generated codes to our servers or to AdMob. Camera access is used for scanning. Photo access uses Android’s photo picker.

History and exports

If enabled, history keeps up to 100 full code contents on your device. You can pause saving, delete individual entries, or clear history. Android backup is disabled. When you save or share an image, the file goes to the location or app you select; that destination’s privacy practices apply. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local history and settings, but does not delete files you exported elsewhere.

Advertising

Google AdMob supports the app through advertising. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device or advertising identifiers, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Transmission uses encryption. We do not add code contents, history, Wi-Fi passwords or contact details to advertising requests.

Where required, Google’s consent message appears before ads are requested. When available, use About and privacy → Ad privacy choices to revisit your choices. Android settings also let you reset or delete your advertising ID. Core scanning and generation work offline and do not depend on ads being available.

Scanner diagnostics

The bundled Google ML Kit scanner collects technical device and app information, a per-installation identifier, performance measurements, configuration details and feature events for diagnostics and usage analytics when connectivity is available. This diagnostic data does not include the contents of your codes or the images you scan.

Local ad controls

The app stores local counters and timestamps to limit advertising and remember an earned 30-minute ad-free period. These local controls are not an account or a user profile. Completing a voluntary reward ad grants the stated ad-free period; skipping it does not remove access to scanner or generator features.

Third-party policies and choices

Google handles advertising and SDK data according to its Privacy Policy. Review Google’s ad controls for further choices. Retention of data held by Google is governed by Google’s policies. We cannot erase Google-held advertising records through the app’s history controls.
